Since I’ve been on the road in Italy, I’ve been craving a light but filling breakfast on the go. So I thought of making this overnight oats with dates & rosewater for breakfast.
Preparing this breakfast is literally the simplest thing ever! It takes less than 15 minutes of your time! All you have to do is prepare it the night before & you can have it on the go the following morning. Of course you can make your own version by playing with different fruits & flavors such as mango, peaches & vanilla! How amazing does that sound too?
By preparing this breakfast overnight, skips the step of cooking the oats, softens the dates & develops the flavors. It also contains all the nutrients as none are lost through heat (cooking).
Overnight Oats with Dates & Rosewater Breakfast
- ½ cup oats
- 1/3 cup milk
- ¼ cup yogurt
- 1 tbsp dates, chopped
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp rose water
- 1 tsp honey
Mix all the ingredients and pour into a covered container. Refrigerate it overnight for the oats to soften & for the flavors to develop.
Serve it with your choice of fruits. I chose pomegranates & blueberries because they go perfectly with the rosewater flavor.
Seriously, how easy was that?
