KEEP FRUITS FROM BROWNING


Let’s talk science for a second. Fruits like apples, pears & bananas are alkaline and oxidize as they get into contact with air. You’ll find that red apples tend to brown faster than green apples since they are less acidic.

 

By adding a squeeze of acid, be it lemon, lime or orange juice, onto fruits we immediately counteract the reaction.

 

Taking this simple step will make eating fruits more enjoyable! After all we eat with our eyes!
